Animaland is a tiny country located in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula. Its main feature is giving shelter to animals and other kinds of animated (or inanimated) beings living together in an area of rich geographical diversity, that is organized into thirteen autonomous regions.
In addition, it is an encounter point for inhabitants from all over the world that find in this country a place where they can form a society with their fellow beings and live in harmony with individuals of their same species. Therefore, immigration is and has always been the base of the Animalish society.
Animaland is an autonomous country whose government is a constitutional monarchy.

History
Animaland was created in 1994 as a result of the concentration of several kinds of beings in an area that ended up with the creation of this micronation. Originally, Animaland had nine autonomous regions, although Terror Island soon became the number ten after a conflict that monsters and the rest of species of the country had.
Monsters did not respect the basic notions of coexistence, which made the Animalish government send them out to a little island on the east of Humble Village. There monsters settled down and made their own autonomous region. Shortly after that, monsters understood they had to behave themselves, and the government did not have to take other decisions. However, this measure caused a growing separatist and regionalist movement that, along with the hostile atmosphere that remains between the island and the rest of the country, makes the relantionships between both parts still complex.
Two years later, in 1996, Carlin and Donutland became independent from Animal Center, following their steps Frogland in 1997 (making up the current thirteen autonomous regions).
Politics
Animaland is a constitutional monarchy, with a monarch who is the Head of State and an elected president who is the Chief of Government. Moreover, every Animalish region has its own autonomous government.
At present, Animaland's monarch is El Sol de Port Aventura and the president of the government is Blan Quito.

Geography
Due to its tiny extension, Animaland has a rich geographical diversity, since every change, no matter how slight it is, have influence on the Animalish territory. Therefore, Animaland has a surface of contrasts, where deserts, mountain peaks, jungles, coast, etc., coexist in a little space of earth that makes the country have a great attraction in all of its places.

In Animaland species of all kinds live toghether. Animaland's Government made a list in 2004 where all the main kinds of beings were listed. The list is this one:

Culture
The official language in Animaland is Spanish, due to the country being in Spanish territory. In last years, English has become important, because this language is more international than Spanish and thus it makes integration of new inhabitants easier.
In addition, Animaland is a cultural center for animals and other species where movies are shot, events are broadcast, sports competitions are organized, etc., exclusevely for beings that live in this particular country.
